1. Good for type 2 diabetics trying to get off carb addiction
2. Great for losing weight as when you eat low carb, you also tend to eat a lot less calories
3. Makes you more insulin sensitive.

So you are clearly wrong.

Carb cycling is the only diet regimen I could honestly stick to comfortably and I actually seen results with my body. I grew muscle slowly but I felt like a had a new body in terms of fat and muscle

Ehhh... I'm a nearly 40 year old woman... Over 300 lbs and about 2 pounds away from being in the 200s... Been doing Carnivore during the week...and eating whatever I want one day a week...lost over 20 lbs so far since January 8, 2024 to today March 10, 2024... I'll weigh in again in another two or three weeks...and I haven't exercised a single bit..and I know I'm not the exception😂

So basically, if you’re overweight, you must do caloric deficit. Well that’s not always the average Joe, is it? That’s the average Joe without an eating disorder. Completely missing the point while not offering any real evidence to support claims. Delete this post.

That's crazy. Carb cycling is the ONLY diet that's worked for me. Everytime I've gone on it I always lose weight

Body builders don't do carb cycles, they do 'a' cycle, notice the singular use there. This guy doesn't understand carb cycling. It works for some people and not others, anyone who says it does or doesn't work period is a beginner.

Being in a constant calorie deficit, especially for extended periods of time more than likely result in lowering your metabolism. Incorporating refeed days or diet brakes will reduce the likelihood of that happening aswell as having structured “cheat days” for the person losing weight.

Since calories are the only thing that matter, if I switch my diet to eating charcoal how many briquettes should I eat per day?

I’m not a bodybuilder I’m actually skinny fat and I pushed my body into such a deficit that I went into starvation mode and the only thing that got me out of it was carb cycling. My body reduced the fatigue and I began losing weight but the next day. I hope you realize that you’re not necessarily 100% accurate and you might want to consider either changing or removing this video. Thank you tho, keep sharing and working, btw awesome physique 🙏

There are some other benefits of carb cycling beyond the cosmetics of filling out, including the impact that your high carb day has on thyroid hormone levels, ghrelin, IGF-1, etc. I would agree that for someone just wanting to lose weight it’s probably overkill, BUT for anyone who lifts weights intensely and wants to lose body fat, it may be worth a try. On the flip side, I do think that the general fitness audience grossly overestimates how quickly their bodies adapt to their “diet” level of calories. Obese people can lose 30% of their bodyweight without any such macro manipulation as seen in carb cycling. But for athletes, lifters, and / or people who are already lean and want to get shredded, carb cycling is the way to go (at least it has been for many people). If you’re genetically gifted (you’re probably not reading this) and you can probably just drop 500 cals from fat / carbs and diet down slowly over time.

🤔..hmm....I think I'm about to find what works for me...learn to play with the matter and be happy! When you cheat too much....pay the price..😊

There absolutley is a benefit for menstruating women. We needs carbs during certain times in our cycle. So many women who went keto lost their periods and once introduced carbs got them back
Carb cycling helps so many women

This guy is so dogmatic. Actually thinks one set training will work forever. You cannot just eat in a deficit forever and get ripped. Doesn’t work like that. Just like you cannot do one set dips and increase strength forever. There is General adaption syndrome. This is why Periodization is so important not only for muscle growth, but for strength as well as nutrition for body composition. Most 😅f these dude want all of this to be so simple, but it’s not. It’s extreme complicated.our bodies do not want to change. They want to stay homeostatic. U can’t just do one set and cut your calories and look like a male fitness model. Just stop your nonsense man.

But that doesn't even sound like how mechanism of carb cycling is supposed to work ( allowing for carb reduction without a matching metabolic response that prevents fat loss). Shouldn't you be debunking THAT if cycling dont work... Plus when imparting factual info best to cite sources whatever they be

Your explanation of carb cycling is wrong firstly. It isn’t just used for contest prep but is also used for bulking, which is recommended btw because it is not healthy to gain a lot of body fat while building muscle. Lastly it is the most optimal way to build muscle. Being an “average joe” doesn’t mean you can’t follow this diet. I think encouraging people to not follow a dieting plan which will gain them muscle without ruining their health is stupid, and disingenuous.

Oh boy, another dude with absolutely zero clue what he's talking about. Carb cycling you NEVER do low carbs for several days.

Well said, I’ve never carb cycled, even with the one show I did 13 yrs ago. I did however cycle calories once I got under 6% bodyfat. Calories that is, the amount of carbohydrates wasn’t adjusted my “high” day just had an additional 1, 300 calories or so, usually including a cheat meal. And I was ripped my body ate that up.
