How do I improve my vocal range?

This is one of the most common questions I've received in my career as a vocal coach. “How do I improve vocal range and hit those high notes?”

Think about your range as a vertical line in front of you. From the lower notes to the higher notes.

Now, on this line you have all these different breaks where your voice changes.

If you've been used to pushing, you're going to try to push through those breaks. And if you "push" like this you can very easily cut off your air, which will not help you reach those higher notes.

When you get to the upper part of your range, the key is to allow your vocal cords to thin and reach that note, instead of you trying to force it there.

You have all these different parts of your range. As you're moving through them, you have to allow your vocal cords to make adjustments to move through them instead of you pushing.

Practice this. Be patient. It's going to take you some time to change your old habits, but I know you'll get this!

First I thought this is boring since I did similiar things on our choir warm ups. But we didnt did it in such range and intensity and only 2 times a week.

Anyways I started doing it and fully commited to exercises 100% effort.

I cannot belive in *24 hours and 2 training sessions* i increased my high note from E to G. Mostly doing these exercises for 10 minutes and then singing some Stone Sour songs that go up to F# .

I’m not really paying attention to the exact number and letters of my range but i really got better in 24hours bc of you i was singing to my girlfriend and she loved it it’s like i can jus sing way better now somehow

Can someone help me find my vocal range. I’m nearly 13

My bottom chest voice:c3/c#3
Highest chest voice:a4/b4
Highest head voice/falsetto:c6

My voice is warmest and most comfortable from f3-g4. Thanks please help
