When you say Insurance? Is it the same as the Protection plan? Lets say if the cruise returned late, like a day late due to weather, will they reimburse me for my reserved hotel, missed flights back home?

Anyone with an ounce of common sense should know they should have travel insurance, this vlog does help to understand this fuller but people be aware.
Just because you fill the travel insurance form on line and it's very easy going don't be fooled into thinking it will be the same if you should submit a claim, it isn't. Chances are the claim will be handled by a second or third party who are strictly a business and not your friend.
Speaking through experience of having a cruise cancellation claim the whole process is drawn out so much you would think they were trying to make you give up on the claim, the incompetence of the claim handlers are beyond belief further adding to the frustration, if you should be unfortunate enough that you need to make a claim do not expect an easy ride.
