When Boeing started putting Stock price over product, they started down this road. Yes, the media coverage is unfair, BUT this is what Boeing may need to pre-order their priorities.

You know people died because of corporate greed, right? Like real people. Dead. Not alive anymore. Imagine it was your father, your daughter, your husband or your girlfriend.

They're not getting enough criticism, over 60% of the people working in a Boeing factory are scared to fly the max so the public should be too.

They should be treated like that. Why does boeing whistleblower suddenly kill himself? Coincidence? I don’t think so!!

Well this aged like fine milk: now the Boeing whistleblower has apparently committed „suicide“

I finished an aeronautical engineering degree in the 90's. After that I did a aircraft maintenance licence in the UK. The first aircraft I had anything to do with was a B737-500 delivered direct from the factory. Even new aircraft fly with minor problems. This one came from the factory with fwd service door open indication. Boeing attempts to sort the problem but there was no time and the issue was recorded in the tech log for rectification when it landed. When it landed the door trim was removed and the problem was rectified. But it was discovered that the person who tried to fix it before on departure had left some tools in the door cavity. Firstly, the aircraft was never in any real danger but there was a full on inquiry from Boeing about it's lapse in quality control. In the day this was a rare event. But these a common events now and barely get a mention. Now a days it could be anything from post production debris found in areas that would be inspected once every 4 years to hand grinding fuselage plugs attachments. Not so long ago during a check flight of a Boeing BBJ it was discovered it was incapable of maintaining cabin pressure on a single engine. It was discovered that a pneumatic connection on the rear bulkhead had been incorrectly fitted at manufacture. This is bad enough but how did it pass it's pre delivery factory checks in such a condition. TBH the media don't hear the half of it. Boeing has quality control issues that need to be addressed.

Airbus is just sitting back and eating popcorn at this point. Their competition is casually removing themselves from the market

it’s boeing’s fault. even if they outsourced design of their plane, they have to ensure that their supplier did the right things to make the plane safe.

Tell that to the 400+ people who died on Indonesian air and Ethiopian air. I don’t think they think they’re getting too much criticism. Some of them don’t even have a say as they’re DEAD due to Boeings negligence and money hungry money saving bosses.

flying boeing is much safer then driving a car

It's easy to blame Boeing for things out of its control when the things under their control are so bad people actively look for flights on Airbus planes instead

USA Today is by far the worst offender when it comes to aviation news. Sensationalism at its finest.

People don’t get that the Airline Company is in charge of maintenance rather than the manufacturer.

It's like buying a car, not changing the oil, and then blaming the manufacturer when the engine blows up.

They do know how to build a plane. Look at the service record of the 747. There are plenty of stories where control of the aircraft should have been lost due to an emergency yet still made it safely to the ground. Stunning piece of engineering. The 737 max was a rush job to stay in competition with Airbus where they added a few upgrades to the original 737 airframe. They were losing their footing and cost lives trying to stay ahead of the game so they should take their medicine!
