The airline passenger who says she was bumped from her seat to make room for a congresswoman is giving her side of the story. Teacher Jean-Marie Simon says she booked a first class seat on a flight from Houston to Washington, D.C. She showed Inside Edition a boarding pass that read “First Class, Seat 1A.” But when she went to board, a United gate agent told her, “You've been wiped from the system, I can't even find your reservation,” Simon told Inside Edition. #InsideEdition

THE TEACHER IS ABSOLUTLEY RIGHT, IF YOU PAY FOR FIRST CLASS, YOU GET FIRST CLASS NOT SOMETHING YOU DIDNT PAY FOR

As a black person, this is so embarrassing. This literally has nothing to do with race. Everything to do with the teacher not getting what she paid for, and being upset that she was bumped. And she has every right to be upset.

The fact a congress women even said that just shows how incompetent she is truly

I am so glad she said she had no issue with the congresswoman. What embarrasses me is the fact that the congresswoman immediately went on the defensive and brought race into the picture, which in my estimation is a simplistic and childish thing to do. She’s an embarrassment to our people.

This is genuinely a “hey, you’re at my seat” thing. Not a “she is racist!” thing

Even though I’m black, I don’t see why race is brought into this. This is about losing a seat that you paid for, nothing else.

Sheila Jackson Lee has a net worth of $8 million and was given someone else's first class seat -- and SHE is the one complaining about being targeted? Really?

I’m so sick of having “racism “ thrown at us constantly! That Congress woman should be ashamed of herself for perpetuating that issue!

That was the worse race card I've ever seen. She just said, "I took this paying customer's seat, but the only reason she is upset is because she is racist"

Why she playing the victim? She literally wanted her seat back, nothing was about race 💀

I love it that social media exposes these kind of actions, people and companies. In the past people did not have a platform to call this actions out. Now bullies have to think twice before trying these kind of tricks.

“Because I’m an African American woman, seemingly an easy target.” no, it’s because you’re literally in the other lady’s seat she paid for

I’d be mad too if my seat that I booked ahead of time was given to someone else. This isn’t a race thing, it’s a “you’re in my seat” thing.

Once the congresswoman knew she was in somebody else's seat, she should have moved!

I'm so sick of politicians believing they should receive royal treatment 24/7 simply because they're in Congress.

I can't believe she pulled the black card. It had nothing to do with race. If she had said that "I wasn't aware that as I purchased a flight ticket someone else would be bumped down, I would have refused the seat". She could've done something considering she's a person with public office. But no, she wanted simpathy and pulled the black card. Shame on you!

Baselessly calling someone a racist should be at least a misdemeanor.
