Ich bin in Nürnberg geboren und als ich 10 war, ist meine Familie zurück in die Türkei gewandert. Jetzt bin ich 40 jahre alt und mit Hilfe "Easy German" videos versuche ich meine Deutschkenntnisse nicht zu vergessen sogar auch zu verbessern . Danke euch für die ganze Arbeit! Würde gerne einige Vorschlaege mir anhören wie man fliessend Deutsch spechen bewahren kann.

I've been to both cities and my experience in them was almost opposite. I liked München a lot in the beginning, but after a while not so much anymore -- you start to see the cracks in the beautiful façade. Berlin, on the other hand, was definitely not very welcoming at first, but I warmed up to it after some time and started to see the beauty in unexpected places. I definitely wanna visit Berlin again in the future.

Been living in Munich for almost 2 years now as a student and it almost feels like a second home to me. Beautiful, clean and quite safe. Many museums, restaurants, English cinemas, theaters and concerts - never get bored here! I love taking a walk in one of the parks every day, and find it super convenient to travel to nearby mountains, lakes, other Bavaria towns or even Austria during the weekend and holiday. However, every friend of mine who has ever visited Berlin told me that they loved the city! Would be great to have the opportunity to work there for a while and really spend some time to experience what it has to offer :)

Ich war nur in München und ich muss sagen, dass ich in diese stadt mich verliebe. Es war so schön und sauber. Und die Architektur ist wunderbar. Ich hoffe, dass ich auch nach Berlin in der Zukunft fahre.

The people interviewed already show a pretty big difference between the cities. The people interviewed in Berlin mostly had tattoos, piercings and dressed differently to most whereas the people interviewed in Munich had a bit of a more conservative appearance. I personally would probably prefer Munich. Berlin is just too much for me. Munich is cleaner, safer and calmer so it definitely ticks the boxes for me

Als ich ganz neue in Deutschland war, dachte ich mir, dass Berlin das beste Option für mich wäre. Denn ich bin ein Zuwanderer. Dies war auch am Anfang an genau so als ich dort für ein paar Monaten lebte. Aber mittlerweile wohne ich seit 6 Jahren in München und fühle ich mich wohler hier. Das Wetter ist schöner und die Stadt ist sicherer. Zusätzlich, aufgrund der Job-Situation sowie die Karriere-Chancen in der München-Region, ist Berlin für mich nicht ideal. Egal wie viele Möglichkeiten zum Feiern in einer Stadt gibt, leider man hat nach der Arbeit weniger Zeit und Energie, um rauszugehen. D.h Minga!

Ich war noch nicht in München, aber ich liebe Berlin. Und ich liebe auch die GLS-Schule. Ich war zweimal dort, jedes Mal für sechs Wochen, und ich hatte die Zeit meines Lebens. Ich mag es nicht mehr zu feiern, aber Berlin hat noch viel mehr zu bieten.

I was born and raised in Berlin and I just love living here. The only thing that annoys me a little is indeed the amount of homeless and crazy people in public transportation. Even during the day I often don't feel very safe and I'm constantly alerted if something might happen. I'd love to visit Munich one day in order to participate in the comparaison. Thank you Easy German. Your videos are inspirational and very motivating. Although I have been visiting Germany for more than 40 years, my spoken and written German are still very bad. But I have recently been trying to improve and your videos are so helpful. In answer to your question "Berlin vs Munich", all I can say is that there is no correct answer! I have visited them both as well as more than 40 other towns and cities in Germany. Each town and city has its own particular characteristics and its own culture and feeling. In my humble opinion none are better or worse than any other. When I visit, I try to soak up the atmosphere of the town/city through its food, beer, wine and most of all, by trying to talk to people there. All I can say is that I love the German language, culture, people, ways of living and outlook on life. Thanks again.

Als Münchner, der seit vielen Jahren in Berlin lebt, bin ich sehr erleichtert über die Kommentare der Menschen auf der Straße. Es stimmt eigentlich alles- von und über beide Städte. Es ist erfreulich reflektiert- sowohl von den BerlinerInnen als auch von den MünchnerInnen.

Ich vermisse auch die Biergärten und das Essen sowie die Natur an der Isar am Meisten, aber sonst eigentlich nicht besonders viel. "Zu sauber" kann eine Stadt aber meines Erachtens gar nicht sein ;-)

have lived in both cities for each at least more than a year, I would definitely choose Berlin for their friendly and efficient Ausländerbehörde, real good authentic food from different countries, real good coffee made by professionals with espresso machines (and a lot of good cafes), later closing time of the stores, and much fewer racists in general (total strangers, cashiers, waiters, classmates, and co-workers, etc.).

Ich als Bayer würde definitiv München wählen. Ruhiger, familiärer, sicherer, teilweise sogar Dörflich, sauberer aber teurer. Ich würde Städte präferieren mit so 100k-200k Einwohner. Diese Städte wären mir glaube ich zu groß. München hat auch ne S-Bahn welche das Umland mit dem Kern verbindet was ich toll finde. Weis nicht ob es das in Berlin ebenfalls gibt.

Ich wohne in Bayern und war schon mal in München aber nie in Berlin… Ich finde München zu teuer… Ich mag aber die traditionelle Kultur und alte Geschichte, weil ich aus dem alten Land kommt - Japan 🥰 Meine Freundin aus Bayern hat mir mit meinem Hochzeit Dirndl geholfen und ich war begeistert. 😊 Hoffentlich besuche ich Berlin bald. 😍

I been to both the cities. Walking in Munich it is very much visible that people are affluent but not in Berlin compare to Munich. But in Berlin it is more multi cultural. Very easy to find a foreign restaurant and shop. Living in Berlin is cheaper. But Munich it is full of natural beauties. Mountains and lakes are near. Berlin is good for students and new job seekers. Munich maybe better place to live when you are earning more. But as I lived in Bavaria, I like Munich more.
