I’m a bouncer and I think the criteria/filter to get into venues is ridiculous. There’s no need if we wanted this much difficulty going out we just wouldn’t go Berlin.

When i would go out in Nuremberg, english worked everywhere. Plus everyone was super friendly.

Berlin clubbing spirit was lit in 2010. You met local friends from Brandenburg & Berlin. Nowadays it’s only an expat and tourist circus.

This is a myth. As an English speaking Brit I had no issue not speaking german and didn’t get refused entry to anywhere. I think they may just hate Americans.

Want some real honesty, that might not make you feel good, but Berlin clubs are notorious for it? Here goes: if you're skin is "too dark" for the bouncers liking, you probably won't get in. Honesty doesn't always feel good, but there it is

This kind of "information" is so important that I have to pay an extra tax of twenty Euros a month so "the high quality of the state media can be maintained".
