Boeing has NOT announced a new airplane. The settlement with the union simply said that “any new aircraft” would be built in Seattle. This is NOT a new airplane announcement.

So, no plane has been announced. Only that when they do it will be built in WA if they do it within 4 years

This is incorrect. Boeing said they would build the next aircraft in the Puget sound area during the life of the proposed four-year contract. They have not announced a new plane.

The 737 is from 1965! To get up to speed it should have been replaced years ago. No wonder that Boeing is run by the economists and not the engineers !

Well, I started to write my opinion. Then I remembered, I promised myself I was not going to do that anymore. The people that know everything don't allow us mere muggles to have an opinion anymore. It's not going to be correct according to one side or the other. Or they just start fighting with each other and forget about you all together. So have a nice day folks! 8) Peace --gary

Yeah.... dream on. No chance this thing will be launched/make any progress in the next 4-5 years at least.

I am a IAM751 member in the Puget sound. There is a Vote as of this comment tomorrow 9-12-24. If the vote to strike happens i would encourage you to come to the Puget sound and report on it. *i do not speak for the union or the company*

The best Boeings are those built in EVERETT!!!

There is a book called "747" written by Joe Sutter, the Chief Engineer of that development program. If you understand the process of developing a new airplane, all of this makes sense, plus what Boeing needs to do to succeed. Without all of these lessons learned, prepare to fail.

Coming to an airport near you in 2050.🤣

People were thinner in the 1960s, when the 737 was born. A new 737 replacement needs a nine inch wider cabin.

Another plane to add to the checklist FAA

This announcement by Boeing is basically the equivalent of an incel going into great detail about what he would do with a girlfriend if he ever were to get one.

I think the 797 should be a narrowbody as well, to prioritize fuel efficiency and versatility at various airports around the world.

Ford Motor used to claim that "the quality goes in before the name goes on."

this is nothing but a carrot to appease the workers that they will have a job IF they build aircraft in washington state

Boeing should have updated the 757/767 instead and forget about Max 10

Perhaps Boeing should focus on building current aircraft to an acceptable standard and meeting current orders.
