Simple Email View in Gmail

I have no idea what I just saw. It did absolutely nothing except temporarily hide the left sidebar. We can delete or archive emails without an extension.

is there a way to delete old email addresses from All Mail in google gmail? there is no "delete" option, no way to delete them. i never even saved them. i never wanted to save them. can i delete "All Mail" its self?
