**UPDATE**
Okay, so a few of you have mentioned that it's still not "full screen" - unfortunately this is what Gmail are calling full screen!
Another workaround is to press Ctrl when clicking on the full screen button when you compose the email - this will put the compose window into a new tab so it will be slightly bigger (although still not "full screen") - hope that helps!

The trouble is, it DOESN'T go to full screen, it only goes to about three-quarter size full screen! I thought this might be a quirk of my laptop, but your screen looks the same. Hasn't anyone else noticed this?

Until recently, when I clicked on an email to open it, I would see the email FULL screen, while the list of emails would now be HIDDEN, (and if I wanted to see the entire list again I would click on previous). Now, when I click on an email, the results display on a split screen. On the LEFT side, I still see the entire list of the emails, while on the RIGHT see the contents of the email I clicked on. How can I set up my display so m it is like it was? Android.

But how do you read your incoming mail in full screen? Cannot find any info on that. It takes forever to keep sliding the page back and forth to read long emails. Everybody online is advising easy topic about window for composing email.
