Setting guitar may look easy, and it is. But I'll go over what you should look out for when you set the action yourself.

Hello, thank you for the video! I’m curious, how do you know when to make the adjustments at the bridge rather than at the neck with the truss rod?

I always avoid bridge movement unless needed as a last resort. Usually I would set the truss rod and do the adjustment of neck relief.
The issue involved is string gauge also. Thicker strings remain at top edges of nut notch while thinner strings go well deep into the nut trenches. Both the situations are horrible to cater to. So please mention this as well in your conversation.
Pretty useful video as a last resort to set action but intonation still might be needed again after physical movement and stretching of strings is my honest observation.

What do you need to setup first the bridge the truss or intonation?

if we have like gibson bridges adjusting action with just e and E strings easy and actually adjusting otomaticly other strings adjusting byself cuz you can’t adjust each string but if fe have tremolo bridges like fender guitar I really don’t know which string height what will be and all action gauges just giving 1. and 6. string info. what height must be others? how can we decide other strings height. I hope you understand me. Sorry if my english is not good. what about other string heights? we adjusted 1.6. string but what should be other strings heights?

Assuming you're doing this on a completely flat neck (truss rod adjusted) and all the frets are the same height. That all has to be addressed first right? What's the outcome of your 12th fret height suggestion if you prefer a slight incline (opposite of 'backbow') truss rod adjustment? Does it mean that you can have a lower nut / string slot depth at the first fret with a truss rod incline? I'm assuming those would need to be higher to avoid buzzing with a totally straight neck - right? Also, I can't find a video on your channel on 1st fret - nut height / string slot depth set up. Got any intentions of doing one? Thanks.

Who scalloped your neck? I am trying to play like Jeff Loomis but my action is kind of high. I kind of hit a wall with the metronome. I want to push my arpeggios to the wall and looking for ways of tweaking things to the extreme. Do you have any ideas ?

Hmmm what if the bridge doesn’t look like that 😂. Mine has a long row of screws which I assume hold it down in front of the bridge

Should strings be alined, i mean in the same height?

Nice video but metrical values would have been great. I have been looking for one and it has been difficult

Isnt an international audience not wonderful on youtube ...? Wouldn't it be wonderful if the uploaders mention their measurements in millimeters too..

You also make the mistake of adjusting the guitar laying down. The bend will get pushed up from the weight of the guitar which will affect your action height. All of your adjustments should be done in PLAYING position.

Why do you not use a proper gauge with mm or inches? lmfao Get a luthier tool set haha
