Seems like everyone is in agreement with this being a great process. I'm going to give it a shot. I get some buzzing from my G string on my Strat when playing certain songs. I'm not sure why though. When I just pluck the string it doesnt buzz so the only thing I can think of is it may be how aggressive I hit the string when playing the song at that point or maybe the way I fret it when coming off the note prior. Anyway I'll definitely give this a shot, it can't hurt.

Update: I went ahead and did this with my strat that the "G" string was periodically buzzing on certain songs and it eliminated the buzzing completely! I was pretty happy that I got that resolved so easily. So there you have it, follow this trick and you can possibly eliminate any buzzing issues you may be experiencing. Thank you for posting this video, it helped a great deal!

You are Awesome Mr. Frudua. I have brought my Prized Vintage Strat - to several ( so called ) Professional Guitar Tech's in NYC, ( each of them screwed-up my guitar ) but after watching Numerous Videos ( from you ), I have set-up my Strat with Floating Tremolo and it Never Goes Out of Tune. You are Amazing and I Appreciate you Sharing your Knowledge & Expertise.

best guitar adjustment trick on the youtube, i will do this to all my guitars. A cheap adjusted guitar plays better than an expensive unadjusted one.

Actually, this really is the craziest method to set-up the action on any guitar. I did set-up an about 2mm (below 5/64") low action on a Strat in 2 minutes: no buzz at all all along the 22-frets (painted) maple fretboard (0.0095 - 0.044 strings) and strings follow the radius very, very precisely. Strings are low and soft and you can bend easily. The most difficult step of this procedure is to attach the tape in the best way to hold the card in place...ahahah! :) Thank you, Gale: a blast of a trick!

This worked perfectly. Got the action so low with zero buzzing. The feel is like a dream.

Simple setup like this could be life changing for some people, especially beginners.

Holy plays like butter. After almost forty years of old school setup tested this on a couple Epi LP'S today for kicks and WOW! Just remember the capo part kids.

I use to play Electric Bass back in the 60's & 70's. Since then I haven't touched one for over 50 years. I don't ever recall ever adjusting the bridge to my Fender Bass Guitar. Now that I'm getting back into playing again with the purchase of a Fender Squier, Now I know why it was so difficult pressing on the strings. This was a great video thanks for sharing.

I don't have a credit card. So I tried a cheque, but the action is now too low.

Awesome video! I love the simplicity of your instructions. I used your Strat video to set up my Strat years ago and people have commented it is the best playing/feeling strat they have felt.

This is a brilliant video, I've had intonation and action issues on my strat for years (and I was too cheap to take it to a pro). Turns out the saddles were way too high, and adjusting their height allowed me to fix all those other issues!! I honestly don't know if I've played a guitar anywhere close to this well set-up before, it's a world of difference.

Great tip. All assuming your truss rod is set correctly AND the most ignored and overlooked part, and possibly the most important, the string height at the nut is set correctly. Your playability will never be optimum if the nut is too high, and it very often is.

This was quite helpful. Not that my strings needed lowering but it helped identify that the buzz I am hearing on my new Gretsch is from the bridge & that the neck needed more relief. I thought it was string buzz on the frets from being too low. Thanks.

This worked out really well!! Very happy with the results. Performed a full set up after changing string gauge and tried this method to see if it was BS and I was surprised how low and consistent the action is with no buzz.
