This is one of the best setup tutorials I've seen.

I always put graphite on the bridge and nut to eliminate string friction and keeps the strings lubricated.
Just a tip I earned .

I'm blown away...not a damn riddle now....let me double check for truss rod on salvaged from trash guitar....i think its covered with grime and dust....and i missed it...neck is well made...let me look under sufficient light. Awesome THERE IS a truss rod ! Low light, grime and failing eyesight I missed it. ...this changes everything ! no messing about ....can move forward now ! no fabricated parts.... Thank VERY MUCH ! This will be one of kind guitar Help me forget Telecaster I accidentally gave away ! {long story }

I was taught to tune the guitar with the weight off the neck. I noticed when he filed the lower E it was tuned with the weight on the neck.

If you were setting string height on a compound radius fretboard, what would you do? Say it was 12” to 16” would you use a 12 or 16 string gauge?

Good video, I would also suggest while working on nut slots you use your tuner, as an example take the a string be sure it's in perfect tune, play the 1st fret b flat check tuner it will show flat, sharp or right on, if it's right on go to next string if it's sharp you can cut slot a little more till it's perfect if it's too low you've gone too far need to start over,

Is a radius gauge necessary if you just adjust each string as low as you can go without buzz? Aren't all the strings relative to whichever one has the lowest action?

because of where I live parts VERY limited ., neck was missing nut. All could get was bone nut for acoustic , it fits very nicely on head stock at end of fretboard ...any advice ? slots look very shallow am i going need to file them deeper? ...thats all I can get out here...have no idea about compatibility of bone acoustic nut on electric ...any advice greatly appreciated ...Thank you. just the same, just realized there is segment nut adjust...just gleaned a lot...don't see why acoustic nut won't work...just need convert to metric..great advice on fairing out and " stair stepping" saddle components ...! Awesome . I got this !
