In deciding my moral code I haven't come to the conclusion that life is always better than death but I have come to the conclusion that suffering is best avoided.
All moral standpoints should be able to be scrutinized otherwise we can never hope to better them

This just reminds me why I don't like philosophy. Heh, heh. Make no mistake, I enjoy your videos - the shorter ones, at least. But philosophy seems like it's all just naval-gazing. I really have to struggle to keep it from putting me to sleep.

Give me a specific question about a real-world issue where I can look at the evidence, and I'm fine. But I just can't be bothered with vague generalizations about morality. I'm not saying that's _right._ But it's the way I am.
