I'm glad you took a step back to explain your motivations and give a basic structure for how to behave in the world.

It would be a good idea for all of us to examine our own important motivations, axioms, and virtues. This way we can refocus our efforts into a greater goal.

Yes! I've been waiting for a new upload. I pray this channel doesn't go the way of hard leg literature. RIP old friend. You're lost to us but you won't be forgotten.

this channels existence has been immensely important to my own political expression, as almost all the topics presented resonated with me. when people want my opinion i often repeat concepts i first heard from this channel, as im not great at expressing my beliefs, im quiet, passive, but can be silly and expressive, in a strange middle ground between intro and extroverted. adhd and autism tend to limit my focus. getting distracted from what i intend to do and focusing on that in the way should be focusing on what i intended. and these political concepts in these videos being presented in a calm educative manner gives me a unique way to express my opinion in a way that would normally be difficult for me. so thank you and hopefully one day i can properly express these things using my own voice.

Just wanted to once more thank you for your work here, Joe. We really need more people (and more influencers) like you on these trying times.

" Do unto others as you would have them do u to you". Regardless if you are religious or not, I've tried so hard to live by this simple philosophy.

I literally just told someone that my axiom was that human life should go on as long as possible just before this video (roughly)

I'm not trying to detract from what you were saying in the video but I find it very amusing the man behind the chaos draft is advocating for managing and limiting chaos. Though i guess in a way you could relate that to the banlist the draft has, things that get in the way of it running properly are dealt with while leaving the core chaotic nature intact

A philosophy is any coherent set of answers to a set of philosophical questions. Questions get answers, which are a framework of understanding based in the past. Problems are situation specific and get solutions, which are custom action plans, based in the future.

There are three main areas of philosophy, each with distinctive aims and tools; Academic Philosophy, Practical Wisdom (the colloquial version), and Truth Wisdom (epistemology and metaphysics).

Practical Wisdom is always contingent. The contingencies that must be accounted for include salience, perspective, and priority. To the extent you can account for the contingencies of everyone involved, you can develop ethical Solutions to specific Problems.

Morality is a personal understanding of the kinds of behaviors that lead to the best collective outcomes. Ethics is formalized morality.

There is a really interesting essay on „science“ and „threats“ by german sociologist Ulrich Beck called „risk society“. It really changed my pov on science which is often seen as a solution to problems.

Living in a country with a big welfare system i can honestly say i can't see amy other way. You don't have to worry about your heath your kids education or family housing. And this is in a country with less govoment control in most aspekt og ones life.

Deontology is a fundamental abdication of morality. Consequentialism is insufficient in not actively accounting for intents. Virtue ethics is insufficient in not actively accounting for outcomes. We need an Ethic of Priorities to encompass them.

Ethical truths are so to the extent we share priorities. Existence is a prerequisite for all meaningful goals. Sustainability is a prerequisite for all non-temporary goals. Truth is a prerequisite for all non-arbitrary goals.

Woah. Just got to 3:30 and I'm shocked already. That was not at all what I expected you to say there. I have to keep watching now just to see where this goes.

The visual metaphor you've chosen is arbitrary. There's no reason actions are a cap on, above, higher than, etc. the other two, goals are not a foundation of tools, and so forth. This type of chart is called a glass slipper, the definition of which is that the graphical presentation of the data does not match their actual relationships. In the same context, see "duck".

Hardleg, I can see you put soul into it, and I'm in agreement with most of what you said. The building is a nice visual representation of society. Though I have to disagree with socialism working as well as you think it would. I know there are people who resort to poor actions if they are desperate to survive, but just giving what they need isn't the answer.

Those recourse have to come from somewhere, and it requires working to get it. It would encourage others not to work and then you have one one getting the resources. Alternatively, those who work would have unfair if they work for a living while others don't. This would lead heatred and, as you put it, chaos.

Aside from the socialism piller, your building is a good visual representation of society, but that building at one point had to be built first. That required hard work and determination from people to make it happen, and it's still required in order to keep the building maintained and repaired. As you said, the world can be cruel and will through things at to break society, wether people like it or not. Without people working to keep the building of society going, it could end up collapsing.

I have an alternative to solution. I believe what we need to do is help these people find a place where not only they can feel fit in, but be a benefit to society. Help find these people a job to be a helpful asset, teach them the life skills to take care of themselves, and to help them into coming to understanding who they are as a human. In the end though, the only one who can ultimately determine if someone is happy is themselves.

If nothing else Hardleg, you did give me a lot of good and helpful ideas, that I am grateful. If you end up reading this, thank you for your time. I'll leave off with this. If I were to make one more change to your prillers I would switch "empathy" to "understanding". I personally think it has more meaning. A word used in my favorite quote by Albert Einstein.

Looking forward to your next Master Duel video rank climb video.

I don't agree at all about humanity continuing to exist being a positive outcome, let alone the only fundamental one, but I still agree with like literally everything else. lol
