I agree with you on not wanting a Six of Crows book 3. The duology is so perfect and tied up and I'm happy to leave it where it is. I wouldn't mind them taking the story a little further in the show though.

Our Violent Ends was SO good! Its even better then the first one! The author Chloe Gong just announced there is going to be a spinoff duology called Foul Lady Fortune which comes out in Septemeber and will be following Rosoland, who becomes a spy for her country and has to pretend to be married to her enemy for an undercover assighnment. I am so excited, it sounds amazing!

So happy to hear someone talking 'bout Daughter of Smoke and Bone again! It's such a unique and entertaining series and yet somehow so underrated. The twists made me go insane and I haven't been that invested in side characters lines like ever. Hope more people will give it a try.
Also, is it just me or Sky in the Deep kinda have that same vibe? Picked it up after this video and it's really good so far!

I'm so glad you mentioned Daughter of Smoke and Bone! It's one of my all time fave YA series, its unreal how its flown under the radar for so long - I think it blew up, online at least, prior to booktube really becoming a thing. It's also one of like three books that I've ever given 5 stars on goodreads. Can not recommend it enough! x

if you haven’t read it yet, I would recommend reading Six Crimson Cranes ! it’s a fantasy book which has asian fairy tales woven into it and overall asian culture (I think specifically chinese?) it’s about a princess who has to endure a powerful curse, there’s romance, action, and it’s really a great read, it’s a duology and the second book is coming out this year :)

Yes, Gilded Wolves! I wish it was more popular. I only started the third book, but the first two I gave 5 stars and I really loved them. Although it took me a bit to finish them, I felt like it was the right move because I needed that time to process all the information and let that sink in. Also, I kinda didn't want to rush and just savor it. The research, the mysteries, clues, characters, dialogue, it's so perfect!
