As an introvert, the older I become and reread the hobbit, the more I empathize with Beorn.
We all have a friend like Gandalf, cool to chill with alone, but when we invite over they're like: 'No worries, just my pal and I', and then a dozen freaking people show up wondering where all the food is.

I like how Gandalf is legit nervous, then again anyone would be nervous when trying to deal with a 8-foot tall bear man with a bad temper and a giant fucking axe.

This was pretty funny in the book. Gandalf had the company go out in slow order since Beorn wasn't fond of dwarves at all. He started with Bilbo first and as he kept up with his story he had the dwarves come out one after another. By the time he made it to the end all the dwarves were present and Beorn was much more accommodating. I can see why this would've been cut from the theater version as it is a tad long but this was a notable event from the book. Glad they were able to show it even if it is in an extended edition.

Beorn really embodied a startled animal in this scene. His eyes and posture was the embodiment of a spooked animal ready to strike, a real testament to the actor’s ability.

It really speaks to the power and ferocity of Beorn when Gandalf of all people is nervous around him.

I love the way Gandalf almost sings the second "Good morning". Man, it impresses me how Peter Jackson manages to put very small things that actually make you relate more to the experience. I love both LOTR and The Hobbit, they make me feel better every time I watch them ^^.

I love the look on beorn's face when he sees Thorin its like "are there anymore?" *Thorin steps out all badass like* and beorns face just has this look of "oh... well shit"
