100 MPH In A Pen | Davis Burgin

Показать описание
Remote Athlete Davis Burgin hit 100 mph three times in a pen🤯
Here's how he did it ⬇️
An athlete case study from Performance Coach Turner Givens
-
Davis started with us earlier this summer after finishing the season sitting 92-94 with heavy cut. However, in the summer of 2021 he was sitting 93-95 T96 with less cut. We needed to figure out what changed and why. We noticed a couple things:
Arm action was getting stabby.
Torso posture was becoming too aggressive with the amount of flexion over the back hip.
This caused the arm to get even more stuck than it already was leading to a pushy arm into release, explaining the heavy cut.
-
The drills prescribed:
Lasso/Abbreviated AA Roll-ins - Leverage the pec/gloveside at flip up and through release.
Figure 8s - Feel a fluid arm swing into flip up.
Blending these drills allowed his arm to deliver the ball more efficiently.
-
After working on these issues Davis topped 96.9 mph in an indoor pen last week. Cue to this week, he threw a pen outdoors and sat 96-99 T100 mph 3 times 🤯
