No one ever talk about when sombody throws 100 mph how easily the catcher makes it look to catch

Keller has been a breakout candidate for years now. Easy to see why, hopefully he can put it together in 2023

Played on the hospital softball team I worked for and one of the employees sons was home from college where he played ball. He was helping us out at practice and asked if I’d catch him. I asked how fast he threw and he said his high was 95mph. I kindly said no I don’t have any gear and I don’t have a catchers mitt. He said it’s ok he has a catchers mitt. Against my better judgement I agreed. I couldn’t catch the curve as it fell off the table. I was able to track his slider and I about crapped my pants when he threw his fastball. That sucker was whizzing. I’ll never forget that day. Never caught anything that fast and I never want to again.

Been to three Mitch Keller games this year and hopefully he pitches Monday or Tuesday against the Cubs. Saw his complete game shutout, even my four year old was hype on that last pitch when the crowd went wild. Great memory.
