For those who are wondering why this guy cant locate the strike zone, its because today is his velo day. This is when every now (about once a month) a pitcher just goes to a pen qnd tries to throw as hard as they can to see their progress. Realistically, this guy probably sits 97-98 in a game scenario to locate the zone, every now and then letting one rip into triple digits on a 2 strike count.

When the change was thrown my jaw dropped. The movement is juicy. Id love to block that curve paint that cut and sitem dawwn with that change.

Someone please help him finish his fastball and fix that elbow snap back on his fastball before his ucl explodes. He’ll gain even more velocity and also finish in a position that’ll leave him less likely to be earholed by a comebacker. Notice how his change up has a completely different delivery and finish.

Props to the catcher its not easy tracking and framing 100mph pitches.

Not trying to put this down but it doesn't matter if you throw heat like that if you can't locate it where you want it big league hitter will get a hold of it trust me! Still great pitching love to see it!

He have a pretty clean timing body mechanics looks great !!

I would recommend to work on to be more consistent with his arm angle and have a more consistent release of the ball at front to have better control

Always did that with my change-up that’s why I just got rid of it. Used a split as a change. Still feel changeup and split are hardest pitches in game for hitters to hit because of lack of spin. But god damn if I don’t love a good ol uncle Charlie or 101.4 fastball 🤣

Everybody is making comments like he is so wild. He a couple bad pitches but most of them weren't too bad.

Kid's got a great arm. I like his changeup better than his breaking pitches

98 -100 with very little control is what it looked like to me. Right handed batters should be afraid.

Loses every fastball arm side trying to throw it as hard as he can. Leaves most breaking balls up trying to snap it off too much. In other words, he's just throwing with max effort, not pitching. It will be tough to have sustained success that way.

I can throw 100 too. It’s not a big deal. Two pitches at 50mph each.

change up good, curve was nice, good break. Fastball though needs to better locate it with consistency. Not sure I'd keep that slider, I'd go with that curve instead and that change up was pretty dirty 97 drop to 87 with that movement on the change up is more than enough. Still very solid overall, just needs to work on locating that fastball.
