Here's a tip I found out my own: trap a villager in a boat then use a fishing rod on the boat at the back and make sure you don't hit the villager and continue it until you get him home. But make sure to go like 15 blocks far while hooked then pull him back

i do the bed dragging method, but i lead them through a nether portal which has rails on the other side to where i want them to go. Then once we get back to the overworld i keep using beds to lead them to a breeder. Then i enslave them and take away their rights. Hope this helps!

i watched this and decided that the bed at night strat seemed the easiest to me. I got 9 villagers to my house about 700 blocks away easily, only had a handful of zombies to deal with

There's actually a neat little trick with boats. Not only can you place water above ledges to float up them, but if you place water in front of you and bucket it again before it moves behind you it will give you a short but very nice speed boost. This can be repeated very fast.

Whys it so frickin difficult. Mojang should add something like make them ride llamas then lead the llama. Not only the llamas would be useful itll be easier to transport villagers too

I found like a village about 1000 blocks from my base and there was a river right beside it so I just put the villager on a boat and followed the river. Somehow the river flowed in the direction my base was so I was able to paddle on water until I was only 200 blocks from my base. I got super lucky lol
