In this video I will show you how to move villagers with a boat across large amounts of land QUICKLY with just a boat and a water bucket! I will also show you how to move villagers to a higher place, an example is higher up for your iron farm! You don't need to use minecarts anymore to be able to move your villagers wherever you want!

For those wondering some solid ways without building railways. Boat and water bucket trick. You can also use a boat, fishing rod and lead. Put villager in boat, attach lead to boat, if you put cursor on side of boat with fishing rod and cast it, the fishing rod will stick to boat. From there you can fling the boat with the villager still inside and the lead still attached. Just keep casting fishing rod on boat. May need to get technique down so the fishing rod does not attach to villager, but I found that standing from front or back of boat and casting onto side gets it to attach way more often. Now you should be able to "launch" your villager in a boat where it needs to go.

Another good way to do this is with a boat and a lead. Like if you are carrying two villagers to set up a breeder somewhere, you can actually lead the boat to where you need to go. Going up blocks is a little tricky, and it’s kinda hard to explain it, but in order to get the boat to hop a block, you kinda want to move around four blocks away from the villager, go two blocks higher than them, and jump. It helps if you have scaffolding on hand. Hope this helps!

Tip: if you use the minecart way and your village is far use the nether because 1 block there is 8 in the over world so basically make a nether portal at the place where you want the villagers to be and one where the villagers are

Thank you so much, I have seen so many tutorials and they just say to use a boat or minecart but don’t show it, this was really useful

I own a PS4 and i recently switched to a Java edition which is a new set of rules and functions. In Bedrock it’s so easy to get up hills with villagers, but Java is a lot trickier then I thought it would be. From Iron farms to Village breeders, it’s all different but thank you for the video had a hard time getting villagers up anywhere 💀

I got a lucky spawn with a village like 100 blocks away and it came with a cartographer and the lucky part is the fact im next to a desert so infinite emeralds and this helped so much

I want to move an enderman in survival, and I don't have any rails. any tips for moving him up with no water?

Minecarts and railes use stairs too. It only takes one powered rail for every 10 or 15 regular rails, plus a redstone torch. If you've been mining for a while, that shouldn't be too hard.
