I'm Raxxanterax and I make Build Guides, Leveling Guides, Tier Lists and More for Diablo 4, Last Epoch, Path of Exile and Path of Exile 2. As is tradition I wanted to make a video going over the current state of Diablo 4 in Season 5. Things re definitely heading in the right direction and I think after a few more changes and improvements we could be in for a great time during the Vessel of Hatred Expansion in a few months.

move your mouse over your mini map....if it says "Conduit Shrine" then its a shrine....if it says nothing when you mouse over it on the mini map its a cursed one.

Agree about conduit pylons, I think they should just make them how they are in D3, added lightning aoe damage while I can still play my character

I'd like for treasure goblins to drop an item which resets tempering on an item. Would feel awesome to know seeing a treasure goblin is going to let you revive a bricked item.

My biggest missing QoL feature is more tabs for the inventory. IMO we need at least 2 more tabs:
One for Nightmare Sigils, Infernal Compasses and Abyssal Scrolls
One for Boss summoning materials
The rest are elixirs, whispering keys, mindcages etc, they fit in one tab just fine.
They keep on adding more and more consumables without the necessary inventory space and I hate juggling all the materials between that one tab and the stash in town

The reason the seasonal story felt like something, is because it brought back the very first plot point of the game. The fact that we consumed Lilith essence and how that actually can do something for our characters power wise. Its the most connected to the main story the seasonal plot has ever been.

They should make glyphys work the same way as gems in PoE, socket lvl 1 glyphy, and lvl it up passively just by doing any activity that gives you exp, or just % of exp earned from killing monsters

I like how levelheaded and thoughtful your critique and compliments are. You get to the point, suggest things that need to happen and don’t completely bash them to death when it actually does seem like they are trying to improve the game and the player experience. Keep doing what you’re doing Raxx

Condi pylons are bizarre in that they enforce a transformation on you. The other pylons are additive, where you can continue to use your normal abilities. The simple fix is to go back to the D3 design and have the Condi effect as an add on that fires of automatically as you move through the dungeon.

Disagree about the glyph. The only reason to do nightmare key is to level up glyph. If they put this system in another feature, nightmare dungeon will be useless and the pit is the way to go.

Got to level 60 last night, and I was doing a mix of Infernal Hordes, Breaches, Helltides, Whispers, and NMDs. Unlocking the battlepass chapters by doing all activities made the leveling process feel really good. Happy with the season so far.

My problem with the loot filter is there's no way to target to pick up what you want on console. Its just a pile and you have to pick up everything to get what you want.

This season I was able to destroy my capstone dungeons 20 levels under as Blood Surge. In 3 hours I was in WT 4 at level 51. Those pants for give 150%[X] overpower damage to cursed enemies are awesome.

Can't see that it's already been said, but for your comment on Conduit Pylons there is a way to check if it's a legit pylon or a cursed one. If you mouse over the pylon icon on the minimap if the name doesn't pop up, it's cursed. That way you can click for the curse, without needing to risk debuffing yourself with the conduit.

My buddy made a good point on the loot filter. When you set your filters to more godly gear once when you are pretty geared, you know when something drops that it's something really good. That dopamine hit will be more impactful

Good improvement points, what about the random crazyness we had in d3, running into a room with 20 different goblins, getting a puzzle ring or whimsydale. I expected more randomness and crazyness with this.

Season four is the first season I played start to finish… even made my first hardcore run. Hoping season 5 continues the vibe.

I legitimately feel this is the best season yet.

If nothing else, the questline sold it for me. As a long-time Diablo fan and lore nut, I loved every second of it right up to the gruesome, hopeless ending.

I think it sets the tone perfectly for VoH, the only real gripe I have is that so much of it felt like rubbing salt in the wound for everyone who wanted Paladin back.

I skip the condy pylon too. My version of a remake would be to lose the teleport, add 2.5 × movement speeed and just have it explode anything I run through. And when a mob explodes it also explodes any enemies nearby.

The way to solve NMD and Glyph leveling in my eyes, is to spice up Nightmare Dungeons themselves, I think you do this by doubling down on random events. E.g. A room of goblins, Butcher, Son of whatever his face was, A Council Member, Hellborne Death Squad, quite frankly anything that accomplishes two things. 1: A Challenge that wakes you up and tests you in some way 2: a huge bump in rewards, XP, Gold, Uniques Whatever.

For me though if these happened every few dungeons I would really be excited to see what plays out, oh an don't limit these random encounters, let them overlap a bit, and let TP out be an option to have these enemies de-spawn if too tough.

my season start had about 7 random game freeze/crashes so it's nice you didn't have any issues
