There was no way I was going to spend $40 on this after the farce of the original D4. While it may be better now, I don't even care. The way it was released, how the devs thought that was good in the state it was in, I completely lost faith after playing the game for 30 odd hours. They would have to fix an awful lot to get it to a state where I'd want to play it for free, but $40? That's stealing. POE 2 is only weeks away now, I'll hold on until then for my ARPG fix.

No Man's Sky redeemed themselves by doing free updates for a game FOR YEARS! They listened to feedback, righted all wrongs and made it into an actually good game. Lizzard, on the other hand, slapped two half-backed "updates" of what should've been in a release and now are trying to shove 40$ half-empty dlc up my throat? Containing what exactly, one class and two hours of "story"? No thanks, and stop givvin them traction.

Remnant 2 recently released their last year one DLC, containing a new class, a new zone (their biggest to date), new enemies/bosses, a new roguelite bossrush endgame, loads of new items and weapons and a reworked power system (prism) with several QoL changes. All of this for only 10 dollars. Combine that with the other 2 DLC's, which both have a new class, a new zone, new enemies/bosses and new items. All of these DLC's are 30 dollars combined, or included in the gold edition.

Meanwhile, Blizzard charges 40 bucks for a new class, a new zone with the worst story to date and a new endgame system, which is only dooable in co-op.

I'm having a blast so far with the latest DLC/Season. Enjoying the Spiritborn as well.

One thing that I found really jarring is that the campaign for Spiritborn characters is the same as for everyone else even though Spiritborn could not have participated in the original story. It felt like a money saving measure, which is OK for a new season but not for a $40 expansion.
