How did we get from the amazing Diablo 1 music to this?

Blizzard, have you hired Concord developers to choose your music recently?

I really can't believe somebody thought this song was a good idea. I am simply astonished. Its not that the song itself is bad, because The Who is a great band, but dammit I cannot be in more disbelief that this is what is happing to the only game franchise I have ever loved. THIS IS NOT A PLACE FOR MUSIC WITH WORDS.

The Tristram Theme song is a masterpiece.
This is scary as in uncertain from what to expect from future Diablo content.

"Behind Blue Eyes" is a 1971 song by English rock band The Who.

The lyrics are a first-person lament from a protagonist who is always angry and full of angst because of all the pressure and temptation that surrounds them.

They’ve been forced into a position of being the villain whereas they want to be the good guy.

So this female lead cover works, lyrically and (like it or not) thematically.

I really miss the days when trailers had carefully composed orchestral music that fit the tone of the film or game. A lot of trailers rely on slow pop or aggressive, boastful hip-hop tracks that don't always match the vibe of what they're promoting. Instead of building atmosphere and emotion, the music can feel distracting or out of place. A well-composed orchestral score adds so much more depth and enhances the experience without taking you out of it.

Remove the Diablo logo and you won't be able to tell the difference from the Leauge of Legends animation.

this is what diablo became, pop teenager music for the teens who think are dark, get angry for not having what they want, play POP music and eat ice cream crying. this is D3.5 they finished the franchise, change the name of this game, diablo was over in diablo 2, the story of d4 was weak (not as weak as the d3, but only the start was good (literaly until you get to the town), then they went downhill).... never would imagine seeing a trailer of diablo playing pop songs, dang.

Remember the times when the Blizzard games used to have a brilliant soundtracks? Yeah, I miss it too.

Brings back memories of being in high school and asked to do a play with materials bought from a bookstore. Then we burn songs into CDs to use for background music.
