Guarantee you if there wasn't so much public outcry calling him out for his DUI they would have done nothing about it

The officer who picked them up and helped him flee the scene should be disciplined also

He was definitely NOT off duty if he was in a patrol car! FIRE the deputy who took him home too!!! IF that was any of us that wouldn't slide!!! Fire them both!!

I was in a 18 month DUI program with a LAPD sergeant who had 3 DUI's. There are bad apples in every profession. This isn't something new. Might be a blessing in disguise for this MAN. GOOD LUCK SIR..

Regardless of whether it was drunk driving or not, he should be fired and charged for fleeing the scene and more importantly leaving his GUN.

LASD needs an overhaul. It's long overdue.

LASD Deputy Gang Should be charge with hit-and-run fleeing the scene of an accident. He should also be liable for Damages to the Patrol Vehicle and any Other Damages from this incident...

The Other Deputy who picked him up should be charge with "accessory after the fact"

✌✌

Will the deputy be charged with operating a police vehicle DUI while in possession of a firearm, and leaving the scene of an accident?

This is exactly what I mean when I say "EVERY" police department scrapes the bottom of the barrel when hiring.

Also the reason why he fled was because he knew if he would have got a breathalyzer test done on him he would have failed. Now there will be no evidence that he was under the influence

He isn't just a deputy he's a supervisor. The patrol vehicle he was driving is used by supervisors only. It should be a felony to be in your patrol vehicle, DUI with your firearm. Why wasn't he charged with fleeing the scene of an accident?
