Deputy crashes marked patrol vehicle in Santa Clarita

Sky2's Desmond Shaw reports on an LA County Sheriff's deputy who crashed a marked patrol vehicle in Santa Clarita and then briefly went missing. He was later located at his personal residence and transported to the hospital in unknown condition.

All for no charges?

Even if the ‘leaving the scene’ is ignored, let’s not forget about the weapons and computer left in the patrol unit!
Was the AR secured? Was there a shottie in the back? Was the laptop still accessible to whoever walked by?
All that gear left unsecured for what I believe to be an intoxicated cop trying to hide his level of intox.
Very typical of a cop to consider himself first and foremost, to hell with anybody else that could be harmed as a result of his negligence with weapons assigned to him.

Plus make sure that the off duty that picked him up gets charged with obstruction (or whichever charge fits).

Where or who were the people that got into the crash with the sheriff??? Did they stay at the scene? did they leave the scene or did they abduct the sheriff and then released him at his home???

They better be tested for drugs and alcohol after leaving the scene of an accident. The worst part of this story is how many crimes went unanswered because of the "High Priority Officer needs assistance ' that this created?? This deputy needs to be fired!!
