Ive never used my degree in accounting at all. But Alhamdulilah i've had a successful career in marketing/advertising.
All of my knowledge/skills in marketing /advertising was self-learned on youtube and courses online (way cheaper than £27k)

I think you hit the nail on the head akhi -- some careers like medical/legal careers you need a degree. But others you dont.

Oh lord I been down university, the sad part is when you finish university, finding a job is a pain. Firstly those companies will grill you with online tests, phone interview, assessment center (more tests, presentation, team activity, then another interview). Then they send you home waiting for a week or more (if we don't get back to you in 7 working days, you know what to do). Oh your references, you think they will wait for phone calls from the hundreds of companies you apply to? ok. I struggled to find a graduate job, infact I never got one, I got interviews and online assessments all the way from, Jaguar & Landrover to MoD, nothing. If you do an apprenticeship, or even better degree apprenticeship making sure your fees are covered by the company then all good otherwise "you cannot do an apprenticeship after going to uni unless you pay the fees yourself!" (that is what happened to me, so I couldn't do apprenticeship). But you can go uni after apprenticeship (weird). My point is alhamdulillah I have the certificates but if you are not an academic person don't punish yourself, there are a lot of millionairs and billionairs who are school drop outs. Now I work in a warehouse with an Msc, there are people above me who have no qualifications and get paid more.

Soo I have a question, I want to study Artificial Intelligence and Computing, which I personally believe is the future for every industry, I'm planning on joining Imperial College London as an International Student which costs 33k gbp per year for 4 years, which is hell of a lot of money, however I have big plans on using the knowledge and skills I learn to benefit the Ummah. What is your opinion in this regard akhi? (PS: My financial situation: My brother is in uni currently and his fees is about 12k gbp per year, my father CAN technically afford 33k gbp per year for me to join that uni, but it would mean selling a property he owns.)
