About the guy who died underwater, attempting to free himself of chains ...the onlookers started to get worried "after 30 minutes" when he still had not emerged 🙄🤨
It took them 30 minutes to start getting
worried🙃?
They'd be awful lifeguards...

Ernest Shakelton was nothing short of a badass to pull off what he did.

Edit How in the hell can a man enter a taco eating contest, die of eating too many tacos then his family sue the organizers because he died from--eating too many tacos? If I was the judge I'd tell these folks to get the hell outta my courtroom with this stupid stuff.

Shackleton's journey is truely an amazing tale of survival and above all, leadership. He returned 100% of his team thanks to selecting the right most competent people for the mission. I've read much about his epic success. He failed in primary mission of making it to the south pole but he had the humilty to shift his goal to getting his people home. He didnt tolerate incompetence or fools.
What's not appreciated is the fact the small boat (22 foot) Shackelton, Frank Worsely and 4 others sailed to the whaling station 800 miles were improvised and Worsley, a Kiwi naval officer was able to navigate using only the stars. They then trekked 36 hrs overland to the whaling station to get help. Shakelton and Worsley returned in a rescue vessel to rescue his entire team.
Remarkable.
We can learn a lot from all of these tales of survival.

You can't blame tik tok or the internet. In the 70s we played the exact same "games, " the pass out game. We'd exhale hard 3 or 4 times, then another person would stand behind you and squeeze as hard as they could. In grade school one of our games was to pinch your fingers together, and with your fingernails see who could scratch a wound into the back of their other hand the fastest/deepest. We walked around with gaping red and purple travesties. Once we staged a "break in" and nearly scared our friend Kristy to death. No cameras, no internet, just dumb kids. People born after the internet think everything comes from it; it doesn't lol

As someone who has been lost in the Australian outback and did everything wrong please stay with your car or if your walking the moment you know your lost stop. I would have been found within hours if I didn't walk off, stupidly thinking I could find my way back instead I was walking away not towards where I came from. I was bloody lucky that I didn't end up in a mine shaft, dying of thirst or simply just never found.

People that didn't eat for days could actually die if they ate a heavy meal after being rescue. 🙈

I’d like to think I would die doing something heroic. But more likely to trip over my dog and choke on spoonful of peanut butter.

8:20 I can't believe the narration that the family rescued by a Japanese fishing boat was so dehydrated that none of them had pee'd for 20 days, with swollen tongues UNABLE TO SPEAK, was rushed by the Japanese fishermen "to Panama where the family celebrated their rescue with a HUGE BREAKFAST OF STEAK AND EGGS." This is comedy.

As for Ricky Megee in the story of him crossing through the Outback, I reckon it was Aliens.

I don't mean it was them who dropped him off in the outback: I mean that I think it was Aliens that stole his car! 😂

My grandfather, a farmer in Africa was struck by lightning as he was finishing off on the land plowing the fields before a storm. He was unconscious for a week at home. His children and grandma was taking care of him. He could not remembered what happened except a massive shock. He was extremely lucky the Dr told him after he went to see him. He suffered with a headache for a while but that went away. There was no effects after the lightning strike and he continued farming until the age of 80 when he sold the farm and came to live with us with grandma.

What an absolute legend of a sailor captain and MAN Mr Shackleton must have been! That's the kind of soul that other exceptional MEN will follow to the brink of the abyss and back again! For all our faults which are many humankind has produced some unbelievable men with unbelievable character! Salute

I would learn to accept it. What else are you gonna do? You can't fight paralysis. All you can do is try your best to manage your situation as best as you can. I'm partially paralysed due to my own stupidly because I didn't heed my Dr's advice and go to the hospital when my left hand side lost feeling and then movement. I thought it'd get better on it's own, DUH!! It turns out I had a brain abscess and I was sooo lucky to live through it and regain some (but no where near enough) movement to be able to stand and, with the aid of physio and a walking stick, walk again, albeit very slowly and unsteadily. Don't play with your health because you don't want to go to the hospital. It really isn't worth it.

Poor Brad, the psychological torment of wishing you never did the backflip while you're laying in that bed must be horrible. I have to commend him on his will to survive. I'm 50 years old if something like that happened to me I would insist they pull the plug. This man is far more courageous than I to face such an ordeal

The saying goes "When thunder roars, stay indoors." It's said to wait 30 minutes after you hear the last clap of thunder in order to be certain that the storm has passed.

Some people love putting their life in danger In the worst places where it takes a long time to get help. Rip to all that lost their life. Be careful exploring mysteries.🙏😇🕊🌹

Y’all please keep a backpack with water, bandages, a solar blanket, toilet tissue and peanut butter crackers in your backseat of all your vehicles. Stuff happens.
