I’m with you…long form content is going to be where the money is. I have asked people if they have seen sales thru their short vids and most have told me that they make some money randomly but nothing noticeable. So it made it clear to me that people are not investing in you unless they feel invested in you and short clips don’t really help with that and with all the work short form clips take for viral effect is exhausting.

Tiktok is starting to promote longer content 1 minute and longer. I’m loving Tiktok more than Youtube right now. Tiktok gets my audience to me quicker and they stick around. Also, I’ve had more brands reach out to me in the short amount of time i’ve been on Tiktok than the years i’ve been on Youtube.

It’s funny you mentioned authenticity. My other monetized YouTube channel, I script everything and read off a teleprompter. I really don’t like doing this and I don’t seem authentic. I just said last night I’m going to have talking points and then just talk about what I know. It will be more natural to me and will show my personality more.

Girl I’m tryna work on this imperfection thing…being authentic and all…because soooo much content out here is super polished and I’m like where are all the regular folks out here! I get it I love beautiful things and aesthetics also but can it be attainable and most of all sustainable tho…I can’t keep up it can be way too much. Imma keep going tho!

Thanks. Gentle Caveats: (1.) Short form content is king because, sometimes, you’re still thinking about it then, it plays 2-3 more times while I’m still thinking about it, lol. (2.) That little confusion you had re IG and Twitter is a bit of a concern to me, considering the video topics. (3.) With much respect, Amazon is well-documented as highly unethical.
