Left Hand Draw: Shinkagé Ryu Hōgan Ha Kata

When you sit down you keep the katana on your right side to show respect. This is because the katana is generally drawn if your right hand. However, this Kata teaches how to draw with the left hand so you can draw faster in emergencies. The Zanshin is also unique.

Even if the opponent can’t reach you, you can still prevent the opponent from swinging the katana around by stopping his katana with your Saya. To learn how to perform these techniques, please join our online lessons.

Did the ones Samurai used during the warring states era had metal covers outside of it? Since bamboo isn't actually that good for blocking
