In car audio, even with only 1 speaker, parallel circuit, series circuits for speakers and subwoofers for an amplifier is key to speaker wiring. We have to consider ohms, impedance and ohms law. A subwoofer voice coil determines the power output of an amp. So this is a very important speaker wiring factor. In this video we are confirming amp is 1ohm stable and you working with 1 sub woofer and ask question 3, single voice coil or dual voice coil (svc or dvc)

1 ohm or two ohm makes absolutely no difference, it simply depends on what load the amplifier was designed for, what the amp circuits were optimized for. Everything else being equal, an amp built for and running in 1 - ohm will behave exactly the same as an amp designed for and running in 2 - ohms.
