I went from 500 watts of bass to 1000 watts now upgraded to a 2, 000 RMS amp and sub finally hit my sweet spot.
150 watts x4 for the door speaker's.
My advice to people upgrading is spend the money be happy do it once and avoid keep having to upgrade.
Great video BSP 👍

Running a X802-5 on 4 eXcelon 6.5s and 2 12 CompRs. Yeah the subs are underpowered but the clarity and response is absolutely sick. I enjoy my personal concerts when I start the ignition. I can always upgrade and add a mono later if I choose.

I dunno I'm old school. I have a good ear for sound quality. I didn't need so much input. But all your info is good to know. You know your stuff

That was a great explanation, thank you. In the next month or so I want to fit a complete system to my little Suzuki Jimny. All I am interested in is great sound, not crazy loud, just a well rounded sound to listen on my roadtrips. I will be doing the install myself. I plan to install sound insulation in all of the car. I would like to know within my budget of about 1500 to 2000 USD where it is best to spend my money for sound quality ? Better to spend more on the head unit ? or the amp / amps ? or the speakers ? Thank you. Maybe this could be a good theme for a new video.

I am an old bass head and had a great system in a truck back in the day.

Forward to now, I recently bought a new toy
"90 vette" and I want some great sounds, but I am extremely limited on space.
I went to a well respected place and explained to the owner what I would like.
After him and his top installer checking out my car, he mentioned a Kenwood KMM BT328U deck, 2 Kenwood 6X9 5 way speakers in the back, 2 Kenwood 3 way 6x9 speakers for the front, a 10 inch bazooka tube and a Kenwood Excelon 802.5 amp. The reason for the Bazooka, is I would like to run the bass at 4 ohms for better sound.
I don't have much room for a normal ported box and a 12 inch bazooka tube won't fit when I have the targa top off and in back.
I went ahead and had them install the deck and both sets of 6x9 speakers for now. I will have them go ahead and do the big 3 also.
Should I stick with the sub that is in the Bazooka, or go with a kicker sub in place of the sub in the Bazooka?
What say you?

Im running a mono 500 2ohm RF Prime amp and a cheap Optimus sub 10 inch I found in the dumpster. Made a small box in an hour. And Sounds great. Not running amp at full level because of fear for blowing the sub. But just in case i do, i actually found 2 subs in the dumpster. They both work. I was ecstatic.

I went with an amp for my highs and an amp for my sub. I can't complain it sounds 💯 my friend said once I hear your system before I see your car. That's what I'm talking about lol. Bass!! Bass!! 🔊

I currently have a 2 amp setup. 4 component 6.5 with a 4 channel Alpine amp, and 2 12" Alpine type R subs with a Rockford Fosgate T1000.1bdcp amp. Hits pretty hard.

I use two stinger 1000 watt 5-channel amps with two Rockford P3 sub woofers in sealed boxes, 8-8" M1 and 8-6.5" M1 speakers on a Polaris Slingshot. It is loud and sounds great. I say, upgrade the alternator if you are looking to install multiple amplifiers or plan to add more later. The head unit and DSP make a difference in sound quality. I installed the Rockford Fosgate DSR1 8 Channel DSP. I love the way it sounds.

Should I amp my aftermarket door speakers or put in a 2 ch amp for a pair of 6x9's? (I already have an amped sub)

Great video, thanks so much. I have a couple 12 inch Alpine subs and a 600W RMS at 2 ohm pioneer, class D monoblock. I want to add a four channel stereo amp into the mix to power my 6.5 coaxials. It’s a single cab truck. Do you have a video that you guys made or that you recommend on how to wire the system all up? It’s going into a 1970 pick up, and I am likely going to have to rewire the entire thing myself. Thanks!
