20 minutes of tech trees oh boy!

In this video, I go through each civilization and talk about a particular unique aspect to that civilization's tech tree and/or bonuses. Obviously every civ is different and special in some way or another, so this is just some fun trivia. Let me know some of your favorite unique civ aspects in the comments! :)

Bulgarians have the longest civ description: "Infantry and Cavalry" are 18 letters (8+3+7)
Portuguese, Koreans and Indians are the runner up with "Naval and Gunpowder", "Defensive and Naval" or "Camel and Gunpowder" 17 letters.

Mayans can still make Genitours if they have a Berber ally, and they can make 10 free Kipchaks if they have a Cumans ally with the unique tech.

And for Bulgarians I guess its a bit of a weird flex but they are only civ without crossbow AND gunpowder xD

Malians have way more other unique things too: only civ with arbalest without bracer, only civ without bracer AND blast furnace. And also, maybe a bit of a far fetch, but also they are very unique in the fact that so many of their unit lines miss an upgrade or two, and only things they can fully upgrade in their line are heavy camels(farimba) and hand canoneers.

For the Britons I would say that they are the only bowmen civ without thumb ring. For the Byzantines, they are the only ones with all the units in archery, barrack and stable (I don't count eagle warriors nor steppe lancers of course). For the Malians you can also say that they are the only ones to not have blast furnace nor brasser. For Tatars, they are the only ones to miss faith and heresy.

I feel like giving Turks Genitours and Steppe Lancers would help cover the gaps from pike and elite skirm while cementing the steppe nomad identity they partially embrace

Bulgarians have a unit that needs 9 blacksmith techs to be fully upgraded as the Konnik needs both cavalry and infantry armor upgrades

Bulgarians: Can build Krepost; only they have cavalry unit that can dismount, they have the worst navy tech tree in the game.
Chinese: Missing technologies which they invented IRL xD

On Bulgarians: The only civ classed as an Infantry Civ (in this case Infantry and Cavalry Civ) that lacks champion?

Mayans can convert a monk with Redemption which then converts enemy stables to create the MAYAN XOLOTL WARRIOR!!!

Bulgarians lack the final upgrades for all the gold main unit lines. They lack champs, arbs, and palas.

Teutons have the farthest firing castles after Crenellations. Also thanks to the same tech their infantry can fire extra arrows when garrisoned, so that is quite unique
