That's good. Sometimes the costs are too high. Some people are unwilling to do the work to bring about the necessary changes or conversion work that takes the relationship in a better direction. The other problem is time. If one partner is changing for the betterment of the relationship but the other is progressing at a lot slower pace in needed behavioral change; and therapy and counseling and God are not helping, then you have to consider what the costs are because the relationship is underdeveloped and one partner is clearly in knots.
