I always thought when a man was in love with you he sent flowers, sent candy, bought you expensive gifts and took you on exotic vacations. I have been married for 54 years (I was 19 and he was 21). My husband did none of these. What he did do was respect me, took care of me during two bouts of breast cancer and bladder cancer, does laundry, pays bills, when we brought our newborn home from the hospital, he let me sleep and got up with the baby every night and fed and rocked him. He had a full time job but did all this because he loved me and our baby. He is my Rock. I thank God everyday for him. Three years ago he had Quadruple bypass surgery. He also suffered two mini strokes but by the grace of God, he survived both and is doing very well. I am so very blessed.
