My partner and I both have been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder and we have been together 27 years. We have had our ups and downs but in the end we care for each other and that gets us through everything.

You seem very much more put together than my ex-friend who's a schizophrenic. She couldn't talk coherently like this.

Thanks for sharing this cause my Partner himself has schizophrenia and though sometimes its hard to communicate with him, I know one thing is for sure I would never leave him.

Love that you two are in couples therapy, I think this is so so helpful and beneficial and more couples should be doing this! Human beings are so different from one another <3

My daughter had schizoaffective disorder, she had problems because most people have a poor understanding of the disorder.

You are amazing, i really wish it was different between my former partner and i. They have anosognosia, and it took a big toll on me. I wish things could be different. I hope they are able to get to a point on how you are in life. So happy for you and your partner for the unconditional support. Thank you for speaking out about it. ❤

I really appreciate your videos. I'm not sure what is going on with me or maybe I am sure but feel like I can handle it on my own. Obviously I can't. The last 2-3 hours I've watched your vids and for whatever reason this one made me lose it. It hit me like a ton of bricks. I have isolated myself from most relationships and it's been my cycle for years. This pandemic has just made it much easier to do so. Paranoia, depression, isolation has been on repeat for as long as I can remember. People's view of me and how I view myself are total opposites so I feel like noone can really relate. I'm too proud to talk to anyone and too paranoid of meds or docs to see that through. I'm turning into my dad who was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia years ago. I could go on and on. I just had to say something. Maybe I can get some help for myself one day. Appreciate these though and Salute to all of you in the comments struggling too. I've been reading them all... 🙏🏾

I have decided not to be in a relationship hard to find someone who can navigate this with me, difficult to navigate for oneself

I'd never put another human through my bs illness. I'm afraid I would hurt them in the end.

Kudos for those who can but for me it would be too damaging for me and the other person and I can deal with the loneliness a lot easier than the headaches

I am not so sure in my case, and the thinking about it kind of torments me. I have much more negative symtoms than I've ever had positive and the emotionall bluntness is strong. And I am not sure whether being in a relationship wouldn't make me more desperate because I can't even feel that I love my partner. I also think I'm unable to fall in love, but maybe, if I am and it happens to me, my perspective will change. In general, this question is something I struglle with the most because the uncertainty makes me feel lost in my life.
I am happy for you being able to have such fullfiling realtionships!

Some ppl unfortunately cannot be in romantic relationships, though - & some ppl are not good about taking
their meds - which can make all thgs
v v difficult. You are lucky to hv your
husband & child, though - & somebody who is patient, with your condition - some ppl just cannot hv that unfortunately - depending on their symptoms - but they can still hv
love from family & friends - all love matters🙏💜
