Mew Easter Egg Revealed After 27 YEARS!

This Easter egg has been hiding in Pokémon for nearly 3 decades

In Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow, you can find a diary which describes the discovery of Mew, and tells us that Mew was discovered on the 5th of July. A date that hasn’t held any significance until now

On July 5th, 2023, Pokémon developer Junichi Masuda posted a Tweet of this picture, saying “On the 5th of July, Pokemon was born in Japan, and this is where Game Freak once resided”

Little did we know, this detail was tucked away in the games for 27 years before it became a piece of trivia.

I just find it crazy that this game is almost 30 years old, and we just got a new fun fact that’s been under our noses the whole time.
