The DLC really made the real Tyr justice. He's still all about peace, but can throw hands when he needs to.

Kratos knew Tyr was Odin all along, he just wanted to upgrade his gear before the boss fight!

I saw him do this on my second playthrough, he can combo those Light Elves pretty hard!

You know, in hindsight, it should've been immediately apparent that this Tyr was Odin because of how slipshod and terrible his prison was. The only door was wooden, which is not ideal material for a door to a prison cell. It was in a mine the dwarves could navigate by themselves with ease, meaning they'd have an easy time freeing Tyr if they were smart. And the only guards were a few Einherjar, and even then, they weren't standing guard around the door; they came from out of nowhere from behind us. An obvious ambush for an equally obvious set-up. Just the fact that he was being held in the realm of the dwarves didn't make any sense, either, because Tyr was touted as being a massive threat to Odin; it would make much more sense to keep him somewhere where it'd be possible to keep a CLOSE eye on him, and Svartalfheim is a bit too removed for that.

It actually makes sense why he attacks the elves…they follow Freyr. Odins ex brother in law

tbh Never noticed he can push enemies, since I was busy surviving the enemy assaults cuz I played on No Mercy

Edit: Since alot of here are kinda off, I started again playing on GMGOW, I was gonna wait for NG+ for it but I love a challenge, and Spoiler alert its not much different than No Mercy tho I am glad I played No Mercy at first cuz I can know the timing of Counters, when to strike and mostly staying alive while not trying to get Combo Womboed. especially the Seior dudes

I believe the spell Odin is using to appear as Tyr will be broken if he is hurt so that’s why he runs and hides and only dodges and pushes.

I noticed it in a battle one time, I genuinely just thought he was fighting. Then he went on about being peaceful, and I just thought "yeah right, you're still violent I saw you, and you're just not wanting to admit it."
