I like how people were just like, "oh a truck, its definitely hiding an unavailable Pokemon under it". But still how tf does mew appear in nugget bridge out of all places(from a glitch)

That was one of the fun parts about playing Blue/Red back when it was brand new, there was so much mystery about it - all you had to go off of was other kids playing, and maybe a strategy guide if you could afford one.

Fun Fact, you can get Mew in R&B through some shenanigans.

Above the golden bridge to the left is a trainer, leave them alone, for now. Go to the right and climb the ledge to get to the grass. Catch an Abra that's chilling there. Next, beat all of the trainers to the right for that grass, saving after each. Do this until you find the kid with the slowpoke. DO NOT BEAT THIS TRAINER! Soft reset back to your save file before challenging this trainer(this is why I said to save after each fight). With all that done, follow along carefully.
The trainer by the bridge, remember him? Wall carefully up to him. At the same time he sees you, pause the game. This can be tricky to time, so save before hand. Once you've paused, go to Abra and have it use the move Teleport to zap yourself back to the pokemon center. WITHOUT ENTERING ANOTHER BATTLE, go back to the Slowpoke using kid. Get into a battle with him and beat him. Next, WALK, DO NOT TELEPORT, WALK back to the pokemon center, and on the way you will forcibly encounter Mew under the ledge on the way back. NOT THE GRASS, Under the ledge.

There is a glitch in nugget bridge that brings out mew. that's how I caught it in red version.

Imagine going back in time with a mew via the glitch method and telling everyone you got it from the truck.

You can get to the truck if you white out after finishing the SS Anne and getting Cut, but before leaving the ship.

Then, return when you have Surf and you can get to the truck without any cheats. People also said you had to use Strength to push the truck, but I tried that and nothing happened (obviously).

They made the truck inaccessible because it ran over Mew and Game Freak/Nintendo/whoever didn’t want them to find out

It would have been cool if in one of the remakes you could get mew… like instead of just getting mew in let’s go from having the poke ball controller you get it from using the poke ball controller next to the truck or something.

Actually The Truck Is Leftovers From An Removed Town In Beta Game.The Ship SS Anne Actually Goes To That Town Which Is In Middle Of The Map At Sea Area.

I remember doing the one in yellow where you couldn't fight certain trainers and then you had to go left from lavender town and do some stuff..Super complicated stuff

No no no no. You need a level 100 Machamp to use Strength on the truck. 😏

The rumor around my school was that you needed to catch all 150 and then use strength on the truck.

My brother and I restarted my game several times so that I could have all three starters and then traded me a pokemon with cut (to skip SS Anne) as well as his blue version exclusive pokemon. I then proceeded to collect all 150 pokemon.

Imagine my disappointment when after all that, there was no mew.

if they really wanted to make a callback AND mess with the fan base, they could've added a message for when you click on the truck saying,
"you see something under the truck, it's.... It's [insert item]!"

Fun fact, the truck was from a tileset used for a dummied out city, a port town in the center. Some early maps have this, actually.
