I like how this is put into a little box to make the splice a much neater set up. I believe these splices can also be used when the wires of a electrical outlet are way to short and can be extended safely to the electrical three prong electrical plug outlet. I have this problem in my home, however, the wiring is not at all coated black and white, however the one wire is not coaded or covered at all, so, that's a given, it's obviously the ground. My home was built in 1880 and is a very old, yet remodeled home. The electrical system was put in, in about 1943, I believe. I was born in 1956.

You have really helped me. I've been changing double socket plates all over my house since watching your video a couple of weeks ago.
In my kitchen the wires behind the sockets are very short and will need to extend them. This will be perfect but what wire do I get??? Is it 2.5mm or are they all different?
Thanks so much for all your amazing videos 👌

I *just* found out about these. I've been searching around the internet for days looking for something to extend a few wires too short to work with.

As much as I like the WAGO idea in that you can release the connectors and re-use, I'm surprised WAGO haven't come up with an inline style connector like this along the lines of a back to back 222 type connector and make a smaller WAGO box for maintenance free application, the WAGO box is a bit too bulky.

Thanks for the video. I've never heard of these before but will help for a project I've got coming up.

Nice video. I believe that in the US twist connectors these splices must be in a junction box with accessible panel.

If you're connecting wires down an internal wall can you recommend an enclosure, as a section of the brick will have to be removed to accommodate this?

I love these kinds of things, .  I the US they sell these little plastic things with 4 or 6 holes in them that look like this and you can use them the same way.  My question was how secure are they really ... over a very long time?  Can you get a point connection that heats up at some point and melts the wire and eventually starts a fire.  How can they say these are safe over time when they have not been around that long.  I mostly worry on a line that would say carry maximum current for a electric heater or something that could be dangerous.  But this is the way to go compared to the splicing that you cannot see and are kind of a pain in the neck.

Good video again, but some wires are stranded, which means they are harder to push in surely?also wish you could tell us how much and where to buy them ? But thanks anyway.

Can these be used in a garage consumer unit?

GREAT LOOKING PRODUCT. Something very important not shown . . . that same group of wires could NOT be joined effectively with wire nuts or with standard butt connectors, because the crimping pliers need more room to operate properly.

I can always count on your video to be entertaining, good, information and not waste a lot of time, thanks again.

When you put a connection like you just made into a plastic box like that, does the code then say you must have access to that box, right? That is you cannot just seal that up behind a wall can you?

Probably goes without saying but would this need to be heat shrinked if it was in the middle of an extension cord? I am thinking about repairing one but honestly might just put ends on both of them and create two new extension cords instead
