sociology is eye-opening, every time i teacher says something you're like 'how did i never see this before'

Your comments about the dated nature of some of the syllabus are fair....my colleagues and I are trying to influence aqa to bring it more up to date. ...we can only wait see :)

Honestly sociology is just a subject where they use complex words to explain the most basic ideas lol.

I'm considering taking this as a third to textiles and photography. Either this or psychology I think as I find them both interesting

I was thinking of taking Politics at first but the more i put thought into it i realised that i’m not that interested in learning the ins and outs of electoral politics and our political systems. I think i’d much prefer sociology as we learn about real life issues and injustice?

the stereotype that a level sociology is easy actually baffles me. im doing a level sociology in year 13 and it is THE HARDEST subject out of my three, the other two being law and spanish. the concepts are highly detailed and complex to understand, the exam board and exam techniques are SO hard to understand. if u say sociology is easy you know nothing about sociology

Hey, I’m really really considering taking sociology as one of my a levels since I do it for GCSE and I am in love! However I’m debating taking it as the syllabus sounds quite general and hard to apply to certain areas of employment- but it really is my passion and i am in love with the subject. Do you know what kind of things you can apply what you learn in sociology to?

I'm currently chosing my A levels and I'm taking Criminology, possibly law? And choosing between psychology and sociology. I'm unsure which of the two would fit better for Criminology and law so if anyone has any tips it would be greatly appreciated:)

Im considering doing psychology, sociology and criminology 😅 I was told by my teachers not to do all 3 and to choose something like English. I really want to do these 3 but now I'm uncertain. Im also doing law as a 1 year course so idk. Help?
