I started my tool collection with RIDGID. They offer quality tools at an affordable price and I have beat the hell outta my RIDGID tools and they still perform great! I'm happy to hear you are going to bring them back to review brother!

The inverter is not a tool. Vance is a tool.

I’m a ridgid fan and user! That is the only platform I use. Thanks for bringing it back. Can’t wait to see more videos

I’m glad you’re still in the Rigid platform reviews. Everyone does Milwaukee and Dewalt reviews….which I don’t care about because everyone has them. Good thing I like your personality for the last year…lol.

I had Ridgid for years but once they dropped Octane I made the switch to Milwaukee. Zero regrets

I am going to be honest-I like Ridgid tools!! There are those (my wife) that don't understand that you have to have Ridgid Tools. I will admit that I do use Ryobi to fill the gaps and niches that Ridgid doesn't fill. I use Milwaukee accessorieas because they are good. I do have other tools to fill the gap of fine wood working. I am not construction but fine woodworking. Ridgid is real good, dang good and holds up dang good. I like dang good tools that don't bust the bank!!

I'm excited to see Ridgids Track Saw, I hope it will be a truly precession system.
I do wish they would come out with a new cordless 16 gauge nail gun. The Hyper drive 16 gauge is ancient and not reliable. The latest 18 gauge Clean Drive is fantastic and has shot thousands of nails perfectly for me.

I am excited to add to my Ridgid line up of tools. I just hope they release a new pouch lithium battery soon…. Also they really should put max output on a 12v line up to instead of 18v. There sub compacts would really be compact this way. That means it would be real like!

The whole TTI lineup has put on the Rocket's and are leaving everyone in the dust.

TTI has their Professional line in Milwaukee, their Commercial line in Rigid and the Serious DIY line in Ryobi.
TTI has made a serious commitment and investment in everyone of these line's to ensure they're the top tool in each catagory.

👏👏👏👏Ridgid is getting back into the ring with plans of knocking out some competition. My wife and I are probably the only ones charging our cellphones without inverters. But that’s ok. Keep All of the great information coming, while having yourself a great day today

The inverter USB A ports are 5v/2A for regular charge. The USB C port is QC3.0 for fast charging or running a TS80 soldering iron. It is good, but not as fast as PD charging. The inverter itself is great. I used it to power a 24inch TV in a motorhome while travelling 3 hours to keep the kids entertained.

I have been with Ridgid for I would guess around 20 years. I started with the OLD 12in compound miter saw, and the again OLD belt drive table saw with the extended arms (one heavy Funny is that those tools show in the manual Lifetime warranty verses the LSA. You didn't have to register them back then. Now the issue is 2 fold with the older tools. You know what happens to receipts from HD and they just turn black and 2nd you can't even get parts for them anymore and tossing these items in the car for service is a nope ain't happening lol. Now I am in the Ridgid 18v line of tools and have a fair amount of them plus they are ALL registered for LSA. I have loved my Ridgid tools as a garage warrior and home projects, so I will keep buying Ridgid...

It's always worth looking at other alternatives. Yesterday thanks to this channel I went out and got a Flex stackpack set for quite a bargain - couldn't be happier for my use/case/needs. For a fraction of the cost of what Milwaukee has to offer as of time of writing. Thank you!

Additionally: *For the battery people*, though I too would advocate for slower charging phones & batteries, when it comes to using a power inverter as the source of USB charging - you're limited by the phone's own BMS. In other words, if the inverter says it can output on port A** a max of 5V @ 2A, that's not necessarily going to be the case when you plug your phone in. You can use apps/tools to verify this like Ampere (android) and see whether it's really slamming/"fast charging" it, or merely fluctuating like a normal 'generic dumb charger' would. It'll always also be apparent because on the lockscreen it will say *charging* as opposed to *fast charging*, which is another helpful but useful dead giveaway that it's not really going to fast charge your device/phone in this context. I hope that helps clarify some stuff because it's not uncommon for all types of marketing labels to not line up with reality or what it can actually do.
IF your phone came with a special charger like a Warp charger or whatever else; things change as it's essentially removing that ceiling for even more juice like 5V @ 3A (and there are those with even higher capabilities, esp. on newer phones where it can do even MORE. such as Xiaomi with their 210W fast charging - yup you read that correctly! Lol 210W!).

**(arbitrary letter/port for this example). Do also note when more than 1 device is plugged in it'll tend to drop the voltage so if at max it's rated "5V 2A" with 1 phone plugged in; then 2 phones = 5V @1A. Mainstream portable chargers do the same thing, higher end ones offer the capability of offering the full output on more than 1 port, but that's another topic entirely.

EDIT: Punctuation. Also, LOVE it when more manufacturers implement *active cooling* into any charging devices. That's a sign of attention to detail that is going to make it last longer - both the electronics inside as much as the batteries - awesome.

Great stuff Clint! If you plan on investing in more Ridgid tools, consider getting the brand new Ridgid High Torque Hammer Drill. It has 1250 inch lbs of torque and might be just as powerful as the Octane Hammer Drill. Thanks again for all you do 👊

I like Ridgid tools. I dont have many, but the Octane impact driver was/is a great tool. I still use it today even though I generally use another brand.

I have my main line as ridgid but honestly can’t confidently say I will continue buying more unless they really step up to try and be a top three professionally targeted tool brand

Just a few days ago I had the Milwaukee M18 inverter in my hand and I just couldn't see spending the money for something I really didn't need. I thought about it and I just couldn't see myself spending the money. If I'm running somewhere and my battery is dying on my cell phone I just grabbed a charger from my Milwaukee jacket and use that. Ttyl brother.👍
