People keep asking me to film a catch and cook fishing video. I have made a few on this channel but not often. Anyhow, last nights video was the catch, and this one is the cook.
In this video I will teach you exactly how to fillet redfin, or perch, and how to prepare and cook redfin perch.

Absolutely brilliant
There are tons of clips on how to catch fish but not enough about how to enjoy them on the plate. After all isn’t it why we fish . Simple and to the point.
Thank heaps
Love your work

As a beginner at this fishing game and keen to get my grandkids outside, fishing, camping etc this vid is excellent. 10/10 Robbie 😊

Never seen that filleting method but I like it. It is low waste. As for Redfin the only fish I like as much is Atlantic cod. That’s how highly I rate it. Great informative video. Thanks 👍🏻🇨🇦

Great video, how I miss a feed of Reddies. We grew up on them along the Murray. After cleaning Mum used just pull the skin off them and leave the centre bone in. The flesh would just fall off the bone. Love you work Robbie.

Perfect video, just what I needed after “trying” to fillet Redfin. Hopefully next time I can remove all the bones! Thanks for sharing Robbie 🙂

I agree with the last comment about the butter, much heathier, they told us lies when we were kids. Also you can cut the fins off near the head when you cut the head off, but you probably knew that. Also I cut the other fins near the back, off buy tearing them off backwards with a knife, try it it's easier.
Love your fishing

Great video last week I filleted my third flathead and I’ve filleted a reddie before but I find every time I’m getting better and better from these video and I don’t feel bad keeping a feed knowing that I will not waste a lot of meat
