As a male, I really don’t understand dress code. Okay yes, the school doesn’t want you showing too much skin and stuff, and that’s totally understandable, but what’s so attractive about shoulders? What’s so attractive about knees? What’s so attractive about someone’s body? It wouldn’t really be a problem if nobody looked, right? Anyway, this is just my opinion. If you don’t agree with me, it’s totally fine and I respect it.

As a korean highschooler, korean schools would NEVER allow students to even wear a slightly cropped top with an inch of ur belly showing. And u cant even imagine wearing a sleeveless top in a korean school and u would get side eyes from ppl if u wear one in the public even outside of school. I wore a conservative cropped top on school trip day and i actually was asked to go and change

i honestly don’t know what my dress code is since no one follows it. ik for elementary the girls couldn’t wear short shorts and no tank tops, but the boys could take off their shirts

I’m not going to lie, a few of the dress codes some places have are ridiculous like the tank top rule, we can always just wear something under it and tank tops aren’t even revealing most of the time depending on what type it is, but, dress codes aren’t just about being a distraction, it’s also about teaching younger people to be preservative and know they don’t have to always show their thighs or whatever, and that will help people in the future.
