Dressing appropriately shouldn’t have to be a hindrance of expression. There’s a time and a place for every outfit.
Would you wear white gown to a wedding?
A T-shirt and jeans to prom or graduation?
A bikini to work on a 105 F day? (If you don’t work at the beach)
There’s a difference between party clothes, casual, and professional attire.
If you don’t have the creativity to come up with cute appropriate attire within the realm of what’s allowed, that’s a you problem, not a problem with the system.
The fact that you seek to break it with the most ostentatious outfits you can find is a cry for attention, not expression.

Honestly most schools in Canada have no dress code. So you could wear any of these things to school anyways, thing is… no one does. Because it’s unnecessary. There’s always that one girl who shows up in a bra but everyone silently judges and keeps wearing comfortable clothes that fit the place.

An outfit is not just an outfit, you cant go to school with a bathing suit on or lingerie and get mad bc the school dress coded you, I’m not saying that’s what she did but that’s exactly what she’s saying…The schools have a dress code for a reason, yeah some of the stuff they have like oh cover ur shoulders is stupid but I see why they have them in place lol.
