For those wondering why none of these scenes were used in the movie. I was at the AnimeNYC Code Geass Panel with the folk who made the Code Geass series including the writer Ichiro Okouchi.Okouchi had told us in the panel that he had rewritten the story many times. Every time he finished the story, he would be told it was good to only then be told he was to rewrite it. The trailer present is one of those stories that Okouchi was told to scrap.

Having finished watching the 'R3 Movie', Code Geass: Fukkatsu no Lelouch, I come back to this trailer wondering quite simply what happened to all the footage I remember in this trailer that was never used. Orange, Suzaku on the Orange-train at the orange farm, Orange looking like he was struggling with something with flamingos? Confusing how none of this relates to the actual movie.

I just re-watched the entire season in just 1 week after 10 years since release. Now i finally realize something about zero requiem. V.V sacrifice his code for his brother, Charles, which makes him immortal after Lelouch shot him. This was also happen to C.C, when the Nun stabbed her in her chest, then we saw next that the Nun dies and C.C lives.

Now in order to be immortal, you need to experience how to die and that will trigger the code. Lelouch did not got his code from Charles, it was given to him by the Gods. Re-watch the last episode of code geass LotR (lol) and you will see Jeremiah smiles after Zero (Suzaku) dodged him. He knew what will happen and he also knew about the code.

Hopefully this will be finally be answered in the next code geass!

"Special report" makes it sound as if it was an OVA or a movie.

I'm curious as to the context of Jeremiah Gottwald standing immobile in a lake of flamingos....

Hmmmm, I don't know how to feel about this. While I was sad about Lelouch dying at the end of R2 and leaving everyone behind, it was still a good, solid ending to the story and I was satisfied by it, not like the ending of R1 which required something more than what we got to be considered a finished work.

There's NO way Lelouch actually died in R2. It doesnt matter what "sources" you have. Production always "confirms" things just to blur the ending and allo people to speculate, with different arguments. The biggest factors for me to believe he didn't die is

1. I simply don't think Lelouch would just kill himself, especially since he knows about immortality and is in love with an immortal woman (C.C). Otherwise why would C.C. continue to be his accomplice if she was just gonna end up alone on a fucking farm for the rest of eternity. There is no way that after everything they went through, and after everything Lelouch learned about C.C., and after all the time and trust he would just ABANDON her. That would mean there was absolute nothing in it for her, and IMO would be terrible writing since they never gave eachother a goodbye, finished the contract, granted her wish of love or any sort of closure, especially being the most meaningful relationship along with Lelouch and Suzake.(WHICH GOT CLOSURE)

2. In the season finale of R2, when C.C. is praying on her knees, emphasizing the "price" that Lelouch is paying for everyones happiness, I very much DOUBT she is referring to his "Death" (which is how it is portrayed), especially since early on during the show she emphasizes how she wishes she could die because it was a part of life so how much of a "price" is that when it was something she once embraced. The price I believe she is referring to is him choosing to become immortal and on top of that having to hide away from all the people close to him including his sister. Shes crying in that scene and I honestly believe those are tears of sadness but also Joy because although he is paying this "price", he is becoming immortal just like her and will be with her forever, and they will be happy, she no longer wants to die, and her wish for love is granted, for eternity. Hands down they were the central relationship, and she is the woman Lelouch truly loved, based on the power she gave him, their loyalty, the fact that she wasn't manipulated by his geass, how they both protected eachother, and how throughout the show they opened up to each other about their inner selfs and their true intentions despite starting off as such cold characters, especially Lelouch, C.C. is the only person he truly opened up to and trusted throughout the entirety of the show. They were precious together.

3.And lastly the last scene when C.C. is on a hay wagon on a road, riding away from a small cottage in the middle of nowhere. WHY THE HELL WOULD C.C. BE THERE ALL BY HERSELF WITH SOME RANDOM DUDE. ESPECIALLY WHEN SHE IS IMMORTAL?? That literally makes NO sense, at least she would with be with other people. If Lelouch was really dead it would make C.C.s character so out of place because all she would have are the other characters she made relationships with and they would eventually die off as well and her life would continue to be pointless.

This is my interpretation of R2's ending, I believe in it and im happy about it.
C.C. and Lelouch are immortal, eternally in love, and will live a simple life together until time calls.

Lelouch of the Resurrection doesn't have to be so LITERAL, I doubt it's. He is metaphorically resurrecting because the WORLD thinks he is dead.
