A Theory On Consciousness That Could Change EVERYTHING!

Can I just add that we all allready know this until we are about 7 years of age, when ‘the so called ‘age of reason’ kicks in. If you go back to those moments you must have had in your childhood where you just ran and ran wondering if you could fly if you ran just a little faster. Sun in your face, sounds of life and warmth around you, pure concentration and absence of thought as you maybe dodged your way around some rocks or whatever. The sheer joy of simply being is embedded in us. We KNOW what we are, but we forget by conditioning and overuse of our physical intelligence. We then spend a lifetime to ‘unlearn’ and go back to this original state. This is why it’s so important that we wake up collectively so that we can start exposing this to our new generations earlier in life so we can move forward in love and light that we are as we are intended to.

I recently discovered panpsychism and couldn't believe how ancient this theory was. It's pretty interesting. It's also crazy to think the universe could be a complete living organism and everything is just an expression of that total consciousness. Mad stuff.

Hey RUSSELL, I'm yelling here!
If I may, (whoever "i" am)..., I see myself in you. Egoistically, turmoil ridden and seeking, seeking...I identify with you. So if I may presume ... Being on a path, as we are, I recently realised, in the wonderful silence of lockdown, all the intellectual verbosity in the world just gets in the way of conscious awareness.

May I request, a podcast with Cesar millan? (the so called dog whisperer). who is a human teacher rather than a dog trainer.

His teaching is all about humans finding conscious awareness through dogs...

And I've learnt, partly through walking a friends supposedly "loopy" dog, to find a route into pure peace...

I'm finding my mouth is shutting more and more, and the space is where it's at. Phew what a relief from the thinking egoistic mind! Its joy.

I feel an urge to put Cesar on a pedestal as a spiritual teacher, which would of course be a paradoxically nutty thing to do! Lol.

If the cosmos needs this... I know you'll read this. If not, well... that's so fine, its beyond fine.

Indeed. You know, mate, I've been on to that whole Panpsychism thing since I realized how it tidy's up the religious concept that God is omni present. God being essencially the one ultimate all incompassing consciousness.

I heard about a concept similar to this when I heard Anil Seth's tedtalk on how our brain is hallucinating our consciousness reality. That, it's taking in information from the nervous system, all these cells relaying their awareness up to the brain, and the brain turns this into something that can motivate the group of cells that makes up our body at large into movement. Those urges come into the brain sometimes as direct urges, sometimes in the form of thoughts. But the body finds ways to shove motivations and ideas into your mind. I kind of took the gut instinct as a consensus of all the cells in our bodies that are not actually a part of us, those symbiotic single celled organisms living in our gut. So in my mind, my thoughts have become, What is it that is not directly available in my consciousness that I need to know? Little things that you might not have consciously noticed, but your body picked up on and is trying to tell your consciousness to pay more attention. I assume this is what happens when my baking instincts go off. If I'm tuned into my body, it picks up the difference in smell and internal clock times up and suddenly, even mid sentence, I know I need to go check the oven. Ive realized how small a window regular consciousness is to experiencing the world.

I loved witnessing your metamorphosis from the celebrity you used to be, to the free thinking philosopher you are now. Learning about these theories of what consciousness is, would you be able to do a video or a series or anything on the difference between sentience and consciousness?

Wisdom is knowing what you know and what you don't know - Confucius. I'm 63 years young and most of my life practiced meditation and tried to understand EVERYTHING IN THE UNIVERSE. Now I'm at peace with not knowing every mystery. There's the known and the unknown, seen and unseen. There's our ability to understand, and perhaps there are questions BEYOND our current abilities. Spiritual knowledge can be viewed as two part: knowledge of how to live life and knowledge ( guesses ) about the things beyond. Perhaps some day, some incarnation, we will know more. Peace.
