Digital media piracy continues to be a way for many to access niche and sometimes, even censored content on the internet, but how does this impact art & culture consumption?

The way I see it is that it is a form of archiving a piece of art that would otherwise be lost or almost impossible to look for.

There are so many films from the 50s-60s in Indian Cinema that aren't available for widespread consumption since they aren't well conversed by our film organisation or distributed enough to keep that rich and incredible cultural identity of ours alive.

In such a situation owning a version of those works via these means is the only viable option for many to consume them and allows us to spread them to the ones who are interested in art.
