When I consume dairy in high amounts, especially if it's alone, I get massive headaches and become very irritable and angry. It makes me want to bang my head against a wall.

@ DerStadtschutz He isn't saying that you *can't make seratonin, but that it *inhibits the receptors in the brain. Of course there are things that make to sad but there a lot of people that suffer from depression that have nothing to be sad about. Everyone is different and Autism is a developmental disorder that no one can explain, diet is a big factor in the research being done today, by everyone not just McDougall, you are misinterpreting the information and exaggerating it.

Again, you are over simplifying it, it's not just milk, it's all animal products, dyes, preservatives and so on. You are spreading your own personal opinion. You can relieve symptons of autisim, it's been proven.

Look, you are obviously a very angry person. I don't know why you get so angry at people like Dr. McDougall. No one ever said Autistic people will be completely cured, all the research shows is that is helps with a lot of the problem Autistic people have such as mood swings and depression, outbreaks, stemming etc. What is coming from Temple Grandin? Your viewpoint? Advising autistic people not to eat animals products, dyes or harsh preservatives IS HELPING and it already HAS HELPED

This guy has things partially right. The western diet is the cause of many disorders today, but it’s the processed food and vegetable oil. The meat and fats and supposed lack of starch might be bad for some subpopulations, but generally is a positive thing. The lack of antioxidants in the diet (in fresh and varied fruits and veggies) has a profound effect as well. When Americans lived off of food produced on their own land, they had much less issues with mental disorders, obesity, etc. Simply being in nature also affects your micro biome, which affects your digestion and the production of neurotransmitters. There are a lot of facets to this, as it is a complex issue, but it doesn’t come down to just animal products.

It's not just milk, it's ALL milk products as well as animal products. So your comment of "by simply not drinking milk" is WAY WAY over simplifying it. Learning the truth shouldn't cause more struggle and pain. Sure, not eating mac and cheese sucks at first, but what is more important? Your health or cheese on noodles? I'm sorry it's so depressing and unaccpetable for you to hear this but medical research proves animal products are bad news bears. I hope you are brave enought to face it!
